Audio-Technica has launched two sets of passive earplugs that allow the wearer to regulate—read: reduce—the amount of sound reaching the eardrum. The AT-ERP3 is intended for everyday use, while the AT-ERP5 is specifically designed to reduce sound pressure during a pop concert without immediately disturbing the sound balance.
Audio Technica AT-ERP3 and AT-ERP5

In line with its self-proclaimed “Always Listening” principle, Audio-Technica proudly launches the AT-ERP3 and AT-ERP5, two new products designed to help users enjoy sound more comfortably and safely in their daily lives. Drawing on decades of expertise in acoustics, Audio-Technica has developed passive earplugs that prioritize both effective noise reduction and the mission to provide a natural listening experience. Both models are designed to meet global standards for hearing protection and combine certified noise reduction with soft, comfortable materials and a discreet, lifestyle-oriented design.
The AT-ERP3 is designed to reduce everyday ambient noise, for example to promote concentration in a noisy (office) environment. The AT-ERP5 is optimized for concerts, festivals, and other environments with high noise levels. These earplugs help preserve the energy of live music while simultaneously offering protection against prolonged exposure to high levels of sound pressure.

The AT-ERP3 earplugs are designed for anyone looking to block out everyday noise, from busy streets and cafes to offices and commuting. Specially designed, highly isolating earplugs gently dampen ambient noise, allowing users to concentrate and experience a sense of calm in their busy daily lives. With an unobtrusive appearance and soft, natural colors, the AT-ERP3 blends seamlessly into everyday style. The AT-ERP3 meets EN and ANSI standards for hearing protection and offers reliable noise reduction with a Single Number Rating (SNR) of 26 dB, while also being comfortable to wear for hours at a time.
The AT-ERP5 earbuds are specially designed for concerts, festivals, and musicians, allowing listeners to experience live music at a lower volume without sacrificing clarity or atmosphere. Dual-layer filter attenuators and music-focused ear tips attenuate sound evenly across all frequencies to preserve sound quality while simultaneously reducing excessive noise levels. With sleek metal accents and an accessory-style design, the AT-ERP5 feel right at home in live music environments and offer an SNR of 21 dB.
Both models come with a matching storage box. The AT-ERP3 and AT-ERP5 will be available from June 20, 2026, for 20 and 25 euros, respectively.
