Motorola has officially unveiled the new Moto G Max in Brazil, bringing several flagship-inspired features to the mid-range smartphone market. The new model combines a massive 200-megapixel camera, an exceptionally bright AMOLED display, and rugged durability certifications, making it one of the most ambitious Moto G devices released to date.
Designed for users who want premium features without paying flagship prices, the Moto G Max offers a compelling mix of photography, performance, battery life, and everyday durability.
Stunning AMOLED Display for Any Environment
The Moto G Max features a large 6.8-inch AMOLED display with a sharp 1.5K resolution and a smooth 120Hz refresh rate. Motorola claims the panel can reach an impressive 5,000 nits of peak brightness, ensuring excellent visibility even under direct sunlight.

The combination of AMOLED technology and a high refresh rate delivers vibrant colors, deep blacks, and fluid animations whether browsing social media, gaming, or streaming video content.
200MP Camera Headlines the Specification Sheet
Photography is one of the Moto G Max’s biggest selling points. The smartphone is equipped with a 200-megapixel primary camera capable of capturing highly detailed images with impressive clarity.
Alongside the main sensor is an 8-megapixel ultra-wide camera for landscapes and group shots. Selfie duties are handled by a 32-megapixel front-facing camera, offering high-resolution images and crisp video calls.
While megapixel count alone does not guarantee image quality, the Moto G Max positions itself among the highest-resolution camera smartphones currently available in its price class.
MediaTek Dimensity Power Under the Hood
Powering the device is MediaTek’s Dimensity 6400 processor, an octa-core chipset clocked at up to 2.5GHz and paired with Mali-G57 MC2 graphics.
Motorola includes 8GB of physical RAM along with up to 8GB of virtual memory expansion, helping improve multitasking performance. Storage comes in a single 256GB configuration, providing plenty of room for apps, photos, videos, and games.

Large Battery with TurboPower Charging
Keeping everything running is a 5,200mAh battery designed to comfortably handle a full day of heavy use.
When it’s time to recharge, Motorola’s 33W TurboPower fast-charging technology helps reduce downtime and quickly restore battery life.
Built to Survive the Elements
One of the Moto G Max’s standout features is its extensive durability package. The smartphone carries IP66, IP68, and IP69 certifications, providing protection against dust, water immersion, and high-pressure water jets.
Motorola has also equipped the device with MIL-STD-810H certification, indicating it has been tested against a variety of environmental and mechanical stresses.
Additional features include NFC support, eSIM compatibility, Bluetooth 5.4, a fingerprint scanner, facial recognition, and Android 16 out of the box.
Pricing and Availability
The Moto G Max launches in Brazil in two color options: Blue and Dark Gray.
Motorola currently offers the smartphone in a single configuration featuring 8GB of RAM and 256GB of storage. The official retail price is $490 USD.
