Avid Hifi proudly announces the launch of the Pulsus II and Pellar II phono amplifiers, the long-awaited successors to two of the company's most acclaimed and enduring products. It is hard to believe that the original Pulsus was launched in 2010, followed by the Pellar in 2012, and that they have remained unchanged since then.

These new models represent a significant evolution and offer noticeable performance improvements that justify their introduction after more than a decade of success. Avid Hifi has never believed in change for the sake of change itself. The previous models were widely praised for their musicality, technical soundness, and long-term reliability, qualities that have ensured they have remained relevant in an ever-changing market. Their longevity is proof that they have mastered the fundamentals. The development of their successors is therefore based exclusively on genuine progress in design, materials, and insight – not on market pressure or cosmetic renewal cycles.

The new Pulsus II, which features an external power supply, and Pellar II build upon this foundation with significant improvements in every crucial area. Thanks to a better selection of components and a circuit optimized for noise and interference suppression, both models offer greater transparency, a lower noise floor, improved dynamic expression, and a more natural reproduction of music.

The launch follows shortly after the recent introduction of the Velsonic and, according to Avid, underscores their commitment to improving analog reproduction through meaningful technical advancements. Together, these releases mark the beginning of a new chapter, in which the company continues to refine every stage of the vinyl playback chain and elevate it to a higher level.

Both the Pulsus II and the Pellar II are designed and manufactured in the United Kingdom.

Delivery is expected to start in early July. The Pellar II costs just under $2,000 and the Pulsus II retails for just under $4,000.
