The manufacturer claims that this new power amplifier can easily drive any loudspeaker, regardless of varying impedances. Additionally, it is said to produce a sound quality that is rich, musical, and detailed, reminiscent of a traditional single-ended triode tube amplifier.
The MTRX2 V2 monoblocks deliver exceptional performance and clarity by utilizing proprietary Meitner circuit designs and eliminating negative feedback. Each monoblock is meticulously crafted, featuring short, fully balanced audio pathways, innovative power systems, and elegantly finished enclosures with custom-plated panels.
The MTRX2 V2 is fully discrete in construction, offering ultra-low distortion, very high bandwidth and the ability to instantly deliver huge transient currents. It also uses custom ceramic PCB boards plus a host of patented speaker protection and self-shielding systems.
The manufacturer indicates a power output of 1,300 watts when connected to a four-ohm speaker load. While a rating for eight ohms is not provided, the four-ohm specification should suffice for most applications. The frequency response is noted to range from 0.1 Hz to 200 kHz at maximum power. The A-weighted signal-to-noise ratio is measured at 120 dB, and the damping factor exceeds 200.
