In 2023, a new model of mirrorless camera is expected to be released, which will be a logical development of the\u00a0Canon EOS R5\u00a0camera .\u00a0It is expected that this will happen at the end of the year – in the fourth quarter.<\/p>\n

It is also reported that the appearance of not one, but two new cameras at once.\u00a0One of them will probably be called the Canon EOS R5 Mark II and will be a natural continuation of the previous model.\u00a0The second camera will be equipped with an even higher resolution sensor, according to one of the foreign media, citing a source.<\/p>\n

It is worth noting that Canon has not yet officially announced the development of the second generation Canon EOS R5.\u00a0Presumably, the new camera will receive more advanced video recording features and an improved cooling system.\u00a0The second model may have advanced features for photographers who require ultra-high resolution.<\/p>\n

Earlier, citing a source, it was reported that the Canon EOS R5 Mark II camera will have a number of interesting technical characteristics.\u00a0It is expected to be equipped with a new\u00a061-megapixel full-frame CMOS BSI sensor<\/strong>\u00a0and two\u00a0DIGIC X<\/strong>\u00a0processors .\u00a0In addition, the camera will be capable of shooting at high speeds up to 30 frames per second using an electronic shutter and up to 12 frames per second with a mechanical shutter.<\/p>\n

The Canon EOS R5 Mark II will also feature 8-stop Image Stabilization (IBIS) and a new High Definition mode.\u00a0It will feature a 2x, 4x and 8x digital teleconverter, as well as a second-generation autofocus system similar to the\u00a0Canon EOS R3\u00a0and Canon\u00a0EOS R6 Mark II\u00a0models .<\/p>\n

An important feature of the camera will be the ability to internally record\u00a08K video at 60 frames per second<\/strong>\u00a0, as well as 4K recording at 30, 60 and 120 frames per second with resampling, probably from 8K.\u00a0In addition, it will be possible to record video in FHD format at up to 240 frames per second.\u00a0As with the Canon R6 Mark II, it is expected to have a breathing correction feature when shooting video.<\/p>\n

The EOS R5 Mark II will feature a new heatsink assembly for longer run times without overheating.\u00a0The camera will feature dual CFexpress Type B memory card slots, a standard HDMI port, and dual USB-C ports.\u00a0It will also feature a high-resolution 9.44 million-dot electronic viewfinder and a new vari-angle LCD monitor design optimized for video recording.<\/p>\n
