\u201cWe can confirm that we will transform E3 in 2021,\u201d an ESA spokesman said.\u00a0“And we’ll be sharing more details soon on how we bring the global video game community together.”<\/p><\/blockquote>\n
According to available information, ESA plans to host several two-hour main sessions with game partners, an awards show, a preview night on June 14, and several small broadcasts from various game publishers and partners.<\/p>\n
The broadcasts are also planned to be supplemented with a media announcement a week before the event.\u00a0In addition, demos of games due at E3 2021 will be released to consumer platforms.\u00a0ESA will also allow partner companies to remotely broadcast game demos during \u201cthousands\u201d of scheduled meetings.<\/p>\n
Note that this is a preliminary plan that still needs to be approved by the members of the Entertainment Software Association.\u00a0Usually the event was E3 and was the largest gaming event in the industry.\u00a0But in recent years, some big publishers like Sony have opted to skip the show entirely in favor of hosting their own events around the same week that E3 is usually held.<\/p>\n
